With 2015 being over, I thought it would be a good idea to compile all my favorite things this past year! These are all products that I either used for most of 2015, or have discovered more recently and have been using nonstop.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
I prefer tinted moisturizers over full coverage foundations. I feel like it gives me enough coverage without feeling too heavy on my face. This one by NARS is amazing. It covers all the redness on my face without making it look or feel cakey. It also smells amazing – bonus!
Urban Decay Naked Palette
I have probably tripled my eyeshadow collection in 2015, and although there have been some close contenders, this palette would still have to be my ultimate favorite. I probably used this at least 100 days of the 365 this year. I find this palette just works well in any season. (Sin is my favorite eyeshadow color ever.)
Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner
I’m an eyeliner girl. I love using and trying out different eyeliners. Although I didn’t find a liquid liner that I was crazy about this year, I did find a pencil liner that I use religiously (actually I think I found this at the end of 2014, but whatever). I’ve tried a lot of different liners for tight lining, but I always end up going back to this one. It’s honestly the best, and you can’t beat the price.
Urban Decay Primer Potion
I have tried out many primers this year, but this one by Urban Decay is still my favorite. The formula is amazing and I’ve found that when I use this on my eyes my shadow stays on for the entire day. Even when I nap in it (I do not advise this, but lets be real, it happens to the best of us).
For me, I find that sponges work better than my hands or brushes when applying foundation or cream products to my face. It just gives me this airbrushed effect that’s incredible. It’s so easy to blend and it is just amazing. I love them.
Sonia Kashuk Brushes
Great brushes at great prices, can’t beat that!
Remington Pearl Pro Ceramic Straightener
Literally the best. This straightener heats up so quickly, and straightens my hair in no time at all. After switching to this one, I cut 7 minutes off the time it took me to straighten my hair.
Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo
If you have dark hair, try this shampoo! I find white dry shampoos leave my hair looking grey because the powder doesn’t fully blend into my hair. But this makes my hair look like I washed it that day (even when it’s been like five).
My go to this winter. I love how they give so much warmth without looking too overpowering like blanket scarfs sometime can. Also, with the weather being warm this winter, I find it’s too warm for thick scarves.
As someone who owns a closet composed of 90% black, white, and grey things, I found this color to be a refreshing change. It looks chic in any form – my favorite being coats and boots!
A spring/summer staple for me this year. I love how airy and floaty this style is, making it perfect for hot days.
Over the Knee Boots
I don’t think I will ever fully be able to express my love for these. I skeptically bought a Sam Edelman pair over the summer, thinking I would wear them 2-3 times max. However, I wear them constantly. They go great with dresses and jeans and everything in between. I even went out and bought another pair in taupe.
Button Up Skirts
Whether denim or suede, this trend was a must this year. I wore mine religiously. Like, I’m talking once a week.
Have a wonderful 2016!
