Where did the month go? It doesn’t seem like long ago that it was Christmas and now we’re already a month into 2016. Whaaaaaaat? Crazy. Anways, I decided to do another favorites post. Being as I’m a college student, I don’t try out a lot of new products on a month to month basis, simply cause I’m on a budget. So these posts won’t be too long, and might be a bit repetitive compared to past favorites, but I thought I would still have it so I could share all that I’ve been loving this month.
L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Highlighter
Not too long ago I was in the market for an under eye highlight/concealer. I stumbled upon this and decided to give it a go. And can I just say that I love it. I don’t necessarily have the darkest under eye circles, but I have them. I find using this under my eye, towards my temple, onto my cheek, and down the side of my nose (essentially the under eye area, haha) gives me the right amount of coverage and highlight. These are extremely light. So if you do decide to get this, go a shade darker unless you want just a highlight. I’m pretty pale (NC 15 in MAC for reference) and I use the shade light. It’s a twist bottom that has a brush on the end. My only complaint is how little product there is in this. I feel like I only used it 15-20 times before it was empty. (This isn’t pictured because I ran out and haven’t been able to get to the store and get some more).
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
This is just such a pretty highlighter. It’s not too in your face, but not so subtle that you can’t tell you’re wearing anything. I just love it. I use it on top of my cheek bones under the eye and it makes my skin look so radiant and glowy.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
I have been in the market for a liquid eyeliner that really wows me. I’ve heard so many good things about this liner, so I decided to give it a try. I don’t know if this product is going to become a holy grail product for me, but it is really amazing. It goes on so smoothly, and is really buildable, but the color is already super black, so you don’t have to go over it repeatedly to get a good line. I swatched it at the store on my hand, and it lasted through me cooking dinner and repeatedly washing my hands, so it can withstand a lot.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
Still a favorite of mine. I love how moisturizing it is, which is great for these winter months where my skin gets dry. It gives enough coverage without feeling too heavy on the skin. Plus it smells yummy!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
As the name indicates, this is a creamy product! I find some concealers dry the areas I’m putting them on, making them look flakey and more noticeable. But this covers it and moisturizes. I also find the color selection to be amazing for fairer skin types.
CK One Color Mascara
It’s just in the past month that I realized how much I truly love this mascara. It’s so good for lengthening without making your eyelashes look clumpy. I think the discontinued it 😦 however you can still find it in some Ulta stores, but hurry before they run out!
