It is no doubt that one of the most well loved and timeless colors in fashion is black. It’s simple and sophisticated and goes with just about everything. However, this Spring/Summer, there is a new color that is dominating the trends; gray. The Pantone colors of the year are Rose Quartz (a soft, neutral pink) and Serenity (a light blue). To complement these colors, as well as the other pastels and neutrals that will be seen everywhere this year, gray is taking over. Grays ranging from silver to stone to granite will be taking over the beloved spot of black this season and into the winter.

More specific, lilac toned grays will be a big trend. This color is already taking over the hair world, and soon the fashion world. Lilac and granite grays can be seen in the collections of many designers, ranging from Celine to Louis Vuitton to Elie Saab.
This isn’t to say that you need to ditch all your black clothes for gray. Instead, maybe get a few gray pieces here and there to compliment the black and pastels already in your closet.
How do you feel about this trend? Are you loving the shift from darks to pastels or are you a darks person through and through? Personally I’ve been loving pastels and light colors lately. Let me know your thoughts below!
