Awhile ago, ColourPop was having a 20% off sale, so I knew I had to check it out. I signed onto the website and had a 2 hour wait just to get onto the site. So after sitting through that I knew I had to get something. I didn’t mind because I had been dying to try their products for so long. And then not too long after, MAC was having $10 off a $50 purchase, so once again, I had to get something. I got 3 shadows, finishing up my 15 palette, and then two lipsticks, which were my first from the brand.
MAC Cork Eyeshadow
This is a light brown color that is really pretty in the crease. The formula of this is really good, better than a normal MAC shadow. It’s super buttery and really nice!
MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow
This color looks purple in the pan, but it is actually more gray, with a slight hint of purple.
MAC Jest Eyeshadow
Jest is a light pink color, almost a white with a little pink hint to it. It’s really nice for all over the lid.
MAC x Ellie Goulding Lipstick in Only You
This color is such a pretty soft pink with gold shimmer. It looks so natural on the lips and is so comfortable. I love it!
MAC Lipstick in Faux
This is one of those ‘my lips but better’ colors. It compliments my skin so well, and is so nice on the lips. This is definitely become my new favorirte lipstick.
ColourPop Eyeshadow in Sequin
I got this shadow because 1) I heard their shadows are amazing, and 2) I wanted a shimmery pink for spring. I’m really impressed with the pigmentation and formula, and the color is so pretty! I also totally forgot to swatch this, so my apologies!
ColourPop Lippie Stix and Pencil in Aquarius
I had to get this color because it’s my sign, it was like a must. But I actually really love the color, it’s a pinky brown, but it doesn’t lean to brown on my skin like so many lippies do. The formula is really comfortable on the lips, too.
ColourPop Lippie Stix and Pencil in Brink
I wore this color to work and shopping and actually got complemented by one of the girls in Sephora. It’s a brick red color that’s super pretty, and really comfortable on the lips. It also lasted through my morning Starbucks and bagel, so it’s got good staying power.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Littlestitious
I haven’t worn this color out yet, because I’m not positive how much I love it. It’s a nude with almost a hint of purple it in. It’s sort of close to my skin color, but not so close that I look creepy. The formula is really nice, a lot nicer than their Ulta Mattes.
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Midi
I really like the color of this, however, the formula is super drying. I swatched it on my hands a few times and it settled into all the cracks on my hands. I can’t attest to how this is on the lips because I haven’t worn it out yet, but I’ll review everything once I wear it all a few times.
