Happy Fourth of July for all who celebrate it, and happy July to everyone else! I hope everyone’s enjoying their summer. Mine’s been pretty good, I’ve been busy with work lately which is nice because it’s keeping me busy. I’ve also been a little MIA lately, and I apologize! My eyes have been hurting for the past week or so because I spent too much time on my phone and laptop, so I’ve been trying to avoid getting on electronics whenever I can. Anyways, now time for monthly favorites! I feel like this month’s picks are pretty random and all over the place, but hopefully you all still like it!
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Naked ($17 at Ulta)
This is a newer purchase for me, I think I picked it up about a week and a half ago, but I quickly have fallen in love it. It’s a cream, sheer pink with no sparkles in it, so it’s perfect for everyday. This color is actually really similar to my MAC x Ellie Goulding lipstick in Only You, except this is more mauve that coral. The formula is really moisturizing and long lasting, which I love. This has been my go to shade since I purchased it because I love it so much!
MAC Lipstick in Shanghai Spice ($17 at MAC)
This is another lipstick that I have been loving lately. Like the UD Naked lipstick, this is a sheer cream color without any sparkles, but this one is more of a peachy pink. I think this color is awesome to just throw on with any look, because it is such a pretty, natural nude. It’s super comfortable on the lips, and is really long lasting (but the UD one lasts a little longer in my opinion).
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Brightener ($20 at Ulta)
I got this eyeliner awhile back during the Ulta Platinum sale and really haven’t started using it much till recently. This is a peachy, white eyeliner that I use on my lower water line to make my eyes look more open. The color matches my skin tone really well, so it does an excellent job of hiding pinkness on my waterline. My only complaint is this doesn’t have the greatest lasting strength. I can get 5-6 hours out of it, but not a whole day. Also, I read a lot of reviews saying this is not good for those with sensitive eyes, so if that’s you, be cautious when trying this out!
MAC False Lashes Waterproof Mascara ($22 at MAC)
I got this as a sample with an online purchase from MAC I made a few weeks back, and when I originally got it I hated it. I hated the brush shape and thought it did nothing for my lashes. And then I realized that this is a great lower lash mascara. The brush is the perfect shape to get all the lashes in one swipe, and it does not smudge at all. If you’re someone who has issues with your lower lash mascara transferring onto your skin, give this a try. It’s waterproof so it won’t transfer from sweat, and the brush does the perfect job at getting the right amount of mascara on, so your lashes don’t look too clumpy.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($22 at Ulta)
I’ve had this eyeliner for months and it is seriously still going strong. I love the nib on it because it makes drawing eyeliner so easy, and drawing flicks are super simple, too. I also love the formula in it, it lasts all day without moving, transferring, or fading. So it’s awesome for hotter days when you get sweaty. If you love liquid eyeliner and haven’t tried this out yet, definitely give this a try! It’s pricey but lasts so long, it’s definitely worth it.
Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush ($16 at Sigma)
This is super random because I’ve had this for about 6 months now and have been using it consistently every time I do my makeup. But this brush is really soft and is amazing for working colors into the crease. It’s also pretty reasonably priced, so it won’t break the bank, and Sigma has coupons for online purchases everywhere. I actually love this brush so much I’m planning on getting another Sigma brush soon.
What have you been loving this month?
