The Sephora VIB sale was about two weeks ago, which means 20% off everything in the store. I definitely bought more than I should have, but who can blame me?! I picked up a couple things in store, and then placed an online order for the things that were not available at my local Sephora. I meant to post this a week ago, but Black Friday happened and I ended up working about 40 hours, so the time escaped me! Apologies! But better late than never, right? Anyways, into the haul!
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick – Bombshell ($20)
Huda Beauty is a brand that I see all over Instagram. I knew I wanted to try it out, so while placing my online order, I picked up the color Bombshell. I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest liquid lipstick person. I’ve yet to find one that is actually comfortable and not insanely drying on the lips. That has changed completely after trying this. This lipstick is not drying at all, to the point where I honestly forget it’s on my lips. It lasts such a long time, too. I’m definitely going to be getting more of these soon, because I’m seriously obsessed.
Ardency Inn Modster Smooth Ride Super Charged Eyeliner – Black ($20)
After hearing a bunch of people rave about this as an inner rim liner, I decided to pick it up. I’m still finishing up my last liner, so I haven’t started using this yet, but once I do I’ll report back!
First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Oil-Free Mattifying Gel Moisturizer ($30)
I was looking for a new moisturizer that is aimed at oily skin, and after doing a ton of research, I decided to pick this up because it had pretty good reviews. So far I’ve really been loving it. It definitely keeps my skin matte longer than my old moisturizer. My skin doesn’t produce as much oil throughout the day, which is really nice. I will say that there are times where I apply this and I feel like my skin is a little dry, but that could be due to the dry weather.
Viseart Theory Palette – Cashmere ($45)
I’ve heard the best things about Viseart shadows, but for $45 for a relatively small palette, they definitely aren’t cheap. But with the 20% off, I was able to justify the cost. This palette is made up of neutral toned browns, with three mattes and three shimmers. The formula isn’t too powdery at all, and is really pigmented. The colors also blend out so easily, like it’s insane. I get compliments every time I wear these colors because they are all so gorgeous. I definitely recommend trying these out if you get the chance!
Bite Beauty Discovery Set ($39)
I’ve been wanting to try out a lipstick from Bite for the longest time. I spent about 15 minutes swatching every lipstick they had trying to decide. When I finally picked out the lip crayon in the color Leche, I realized it was out of stock. In stead of putting my boyfriend through the misery of me swatching everything again, I decided to grab this kit. It has Leche in it, as well as a lipstick in the color Beetroot, a lip mask, and a lip primer. This set is definitely worth the money, because you get so much in it! The colors are gorgeous and the formula is amazing. I definitely recommend!
Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lacquered Lip Gloss – Sugar Sugar ($28)
This purchase was definitely influenced by Jaclyn Hill. A few months ago in one of her favorites video, she said that she’s been putting this over liquid lipsticks to make them more comfortable. I was waiting for the sale to pick this up, because it’s definitely not cheap. I’ve only used this once, because for some reason glossy lips scares my boyfriend. I did really like it though, it smells really nice and makes my liquid lipstick feel more comfortable. It is a little on the sticky side, but that’s to be expected from glosses.
Beauty Blender ($20)
I’ve had a beauty sponge for a few years now, and it was getting time to replace it, so I decided this was the best time to splurge on the Original Beauty Blender to see what the hype was all about!
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($38)
I’ve heard everyone rave about this, so I decided it was type I pick it up. I’ve used this a few times and it definitely helps to keep my face matte longer than a pressed powder. It is pretty messy, though, which makes it a little annoying to use at times. Overall, I do really like this, though!
