The past couple weeks have been absolutely insane for me. I had a ton of projects and presentations due, I got accepted to a school in NYC, and I got offered a summer internship. So last month was completely occupied with school, work, trying to find a roommate, apartment hunting, and planning a move. Needless to say, a lot of things got put on the back burner, which is why I’ve been so MIA from here lately. I’m so sorry and I promise I’ll be better once I’m settled into my new place!
Anyways, time for another haul! The Sephora VIB sale always gets me, because there are so many amazing brands on sale. I typically tend to go crazy, and get way more than I need. I like to think I was pretty good this time around, though, because two of the things I got were just restocks for items I’ve run out of. The other things were items I’ve had my eyes on for months, but was waiting for the sale to get.
Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows – Linen, Milk Tea, Silver Brown, Taupe
Make Up For Ever shadows are hands down my favorites. The formula is unlike anything else. They feel almost gel like in the pan, but apply like a powder. When buying these shadows, I tried to get colors that I don’t have anything similar to, because at $21 a pan, these shadows are not cheap. Somehow my order got messed up, and I got double charged for one color, and randomly sent Linen. I’m planning on exchanging it for a different color soon. I’m obsessed with the colors that I got. Milk Tea is the perfect neutral brown. It’s not too orange or ashy, so it goes with pretty much everything. Silver Brown looks almost more purple that it does brown. It’s really pretty and different! Taupe is like the most dreamy taupe color ever. If you haven’t tried these shadows yet, definitely go swatch them! Because they’re amazing!
Kat Von D Ink Liner
This is my favorite liquid liner ever. I love the tip because it’s not too flexible, so I get a really sharp line. It’s also super black and doesn’t fade or budge. This is my third or fourth of these liners! They’re just that good!
First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Oil Free Mattifying Gel Moisturizer
This is another replenishment product. This is my everyday moisturizer, because it doesn’t leave my skin greasy or oily, but still moisturizes. It’s really light, which makes it amazing for oily skin types. Give this a try if you have oily skin and don’t want a greasy moisturizer.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
The NARS Pure Radiant Creamy Concealer is my ride or die. I absolutely love it, and I use it everyday. You do have to build it up to get the coverage you want, though, which isn’t a big deal to me. When NARS released this new concealer, I knew I had to try it out. I’ve used it three times and already love it. It’s a lot thicker than the Pure Radiant concealer, which means the coverage is heavier. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all, though!
Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment
I bought this because I’m a very pink person. Like, regardless what I put on my face, I always end up looking pink. I got this in the hopes of neutralizing my skin and making my face look less sunburnt (perks of being pale). I’ve used this a couple times, and haven’t really seen a difference yet. I do find this to be a little drying on my skin, though, so if you have dry skin, I’d avoid this!
Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray
I’m all about messy hair right now. I love the look of loose, beachy waves and just rolled out of bed hair. I do have relatively flat and fine hair, though, so getting volume is a challenge. I bought this in the hopes of getting volume and texture. It’s been working pretty well so far. I think it works a little better on second day hair than first day, though. I do fine this makes my hair very tangly, though. So if you want texture and not knots, this might not be the product for you.
Did you buy anything during the VIB sale? If so, what?!
